This Sunday’s Message

Last Week
This Sunday @ Family
What does it mean to truly be a church? What does it mean to be Family? Growing up, in my family was most likely different than yours. I had two brothers, an older and a younger. Often times we didn’t agree on much, we would fight, argue, get mad and angry at each other. Yet we were still family. There was still a sense of loyalty to each other, a sense of obligation, there was love. We were blood. Being family meant something. It didn’t always mean that we agreed, it meant that we could look past our differences and still come together and eat at the same table. Now that we have grown and we are older, we have found, we still don’t always agree on everything, though we don’t fight and argue the same way that we did as children. Yet we value our differences of opinions more. We value perspective, we value experiences, we truly value each other. I believe that at Family we have to get away from feeling like we all have to agree with everyone and everything everyone says, but that we learn to see the value in those around us. At the end of the day we can still come and sit and eat at the same table and celebrate what God is doing in each other’s lives.
As we do that, I find it such an honor and a joy to be a part of this Family
Loving you all
